hey guys! anyone know whats up with the minecraft server? i've not been able to leave my shed since weds night cause the door keeps bugging and shutting in my face after i open it!! have resorted to playing singleplayer :'(

at work so no internet sori

df just crashed out on me and I turned auto save off because it anoyed the fuck out of me FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

the server does seem fucked. I can't connect to it but i'm not at home. not sure i'll be able to do anything about it until monday evening when i get back

nah worries. i really ought not to be playing on it after spending ALL DAY Wednesday playing on it!! lol

I saw that game on Steam once. If you add up all of the DLC, it comes to a lot of money.

oh, to bring this back to minecraft, once the next update is out that adds something new to the world, i was considering starting up a new world. By then, portals should be working well enough on the server to be able to have a portal somewhere to the old world (maybe read only) so nothing is lost.

The reason i'm thinking this is that we've pretty much conquered the small area around spawn and a lot of underground caves are under 3 or 4 of us at once. If we start with a new world, we can spread things out a lot more. come the next update we'll be able to make our beds a spawn point and we can afford to be quite far away from each other.

at the moment, I want a new project but i'm surrounded by other people, I can't really do anything in my area. what does everyone think?

You already know I'm down with that. I haven't played for weeks, its the kind of game that you need to have a project, its pretty boring if you don't. If I have my own space I might build a village..

It's a yes from me. Even though it did take me ages with what I was doing, I kind of got bored with it. Plus with a new world we'll get all the stuff that's been added, like blue dye.

one advantage to starting a new world now is we could agree on a seed for the world.
we could agree on a world before we move there.

i'd be happy with this as long as it works! i'm still stuck in my shed cause of some stupic bug and i don't know whats wrong i take it none of you have had problems since i last mentioned it? it's been a week!!

also, just re-enabled the nether and it works fine now.
the only problem is because i emptied my pockets of useful shit before i went in, i'm now trapped underground with no method out, aside from slowly digging out with my bare hands

okay, i've made it to the surface and I reappear fuck knows where.
its all very tree filled and hilly and i'd be convinced i was on the other side of the world if there wasn't a safe house with a bed in it right next to where i popped up. someone has been here, but i don't have a fucking clue which way to go.

build a large landmark and then search for it on a map.

dude the spawn has moved! i built that safe house before my game crashed!! if you climb real high you'll see a tall "man-made" tower in the distance, like a 1*1 block tower. follow it and you'll get to the sea.

If you look on this pic of the map, i think the safe house is around where that X is, and the circled tower with the arrow pointing to it is the one i followed back home a few times, then followed the shoreline




God when i got lost there previously.... felt so scary. i felt like i was in lost!! i just died and though oh it'll be reet i know my way from the spawn... but OH NO
