I just got minecraft. Goodbye degree. Although it seems to be running much much slower than the videos I have seen of it. What am I doing wrong?

edit: iirc from shc some people withc certain chip set wer having problems with extream draw distance, try hitting F till you get some degree of fog

It's ok now, it was just when I started a new game it was taking a while to load. Also I was clicking a lot instead for holding down for a while.

i did the same thing.
it is expected when you create a new world you will get a really bad fps because it's generating the world around you. you may notice it acting up as you explore new terrain as well.
