slackers were one of the best bands indeed, and it was a shame that the venue was really empty, think it was one of the emptiest it had been all day,
the skints were good for the little bit i saw, bloody queing
    random hand were on form
didnt catch that much of farse
    sonic boom were pretty decent
    slackers awesome
and that was all i saw, not a huge king blues fan and could not be asked waiting ages to see anti flag
what did suck was the fact you could not drink at the vans stage and that it was sooo bloody humid

It was pretty strange that the stage with the (i would assume) oldest crowd was the no drinking stage. Somebody told me it was because the venue is usually a mosque?

nah, riley smith hall is used for stage theatre and you have never been allowed to drink in there, there is another place in the uni that is used for religios purposes.
tis a bit of a joke that the stage where you are most likely to drink is placed at the only place you cant drink

Ah fair enough, that's what someone told our sound guy who was stage managing that stage. Obviously there was lots of confusion on that day Very Happy

yeah tonnes of confusion about everything.#

you cant leave the venue and get back in, oh wait now you can. but not here.

also apparently some cunt from a popular band jumped of the balcony in the refectory and broke a girls collar bone.

The Audition? I think that's who I read it was afterwards...We literally wandered in there for 2 minutes to see what was going on and that happened - saw it form the top balcony.

Fuck ME! What the hell was he playing at?! He could have genuinely killed someone. That would have been an excellent way to promote your band...

Sounds like everyone else had a pretty good time though, gutted I wasn't there!

It was really impressive, though very ill-advised. At least she didn't get too badly hurt, it could've been much worse Smile

I think a broken collar bone and sprained wrist counts as badly hurt dude, granted it could have been worse but a broken collar bone is a pretty bad injury and one that could definitely pose a lot of problems for the girl in the future.

for example she will probably never be able to reach strait up in the air with that arm or lift anything heavy, although these are rather minor for perminate disabilitys, their perminant disabilitys inflicted on a young girl (asumeing it was a young girl due to it happend in the refectory) for some dick to look cool

I think he was just fucking stupid! He's a huge grown man jumping 20 ft off of a balcony onto a crown on people, of course someone is going to get injured. He could have fractured someone's skull and killed them. I'm getting angry thinking about it, WHAT A TWAT!!!!!

Yeah true, but I mean really badly hurt. Like collapsed face/broken back hurt. I'm not defending it or anything, but she's walking around now, so at least it wasn't as bad as it could've been Smile
