The video game thread

a new plugin has been installed, at the moment it announces whenever anyone gets in or out of bed (could be annoying, we'll see how we go) but also if you type /sleep it'll tell you who is and isn't in bed. Should be useful.
I've edited the slowheal slightly, now it works if you're less than 4 blocks below sea level. this way if you're swimming you still count as above ground for healing

in other news i found a dungeon on the surface right near spawn. i noticed cobble in an area that nobody lived and dug out all of the sand around it. its showing up as a pig so i dont know what badguy is in there.

edit: it's a skeleton spawner, free arrows for all if i can make a good killing machine out of it. nobody break the spawner.
spent all day emptying it out and ended up having to run for feltch's house in the night. only just made it there

I was going to edit a copy of the map and put everything I knew about it on but I can't do it in paint and don't have anything else to do it with. In the mean time, here's some pictures.

So what do you use to edit .png files?

paint, but not when they're massive map files.
use photoshop, or gimp if you dont have photoshop http://www.gimp.org/

also, new terrain that is generated isn't matching the current world. possibly since doing a map restore. I really liek the world we have though and a lot of the world is already uncovered so it's fine, but you start getting flat cavern walls if you get near the edge. i fell off one and died.

oh, and steve is exactly left of joe. you should see his stone hut across the water

Just east (down-right) of the spawn is the portal to the nether I've made. There's a chest on both sides of the portal. The one in the nether has a flint and steel in it so you can get back if the portal switches off.

maybe we should put a couple obsidian in as well in case of a ghast blowing up the portal

I will do. I've lost two diamond pickaxes so far trying to reclaim the obsidian from my other two portals that fucked up. I'll make a landmark so it's clearer where it is on the map.
