i can only think it'll be hella difficult to have the two different water levels though, maybe the worldedit plugin will help there, i'll have a look into it.

I'll finish my helm's deep-esque plan then maybe we can start something
Also, I have very little to do today so I'm up for some hardcore minecraftage!

Re: The video game thread
I've heard that EDF is totally rad but I've never had a proper look at it myself. Might get it on steam at christmas.
You guys gonna get skyrim? I don't really have the money and I have shit loads of work to do but I know I'll end up spending hundreds of hours on it so in terms of £/hour it might be really good value

Re: The video game thread
I've been sucked in by the hype so I pre-ordered it ages ago. It'll take at least a week to get to me in the post though .
I'll sell it after a few months when the Game of the Year edition comes out with all the extra DLC. I did that for Fallout 3 and broke even.

Re: The video game thread
Eeee! I'm so excited.
I think I'm going to properly role-play this one. I will say to myself, "What would my character do?" instead of, "What is most beneficial for me to do at this point?"

Gah, my PS3 broke last night. It's that flashing red light problem. I had a search and basically that could be anything.

i'm hoping this is going to be the game that makes the ps3 worth buying, however it's from naughty dog, so i may be asking a bit much
if it's broke and out of warranty, just try cracking it open and emprtying all the dust, dirt and cockroaches out of it. Could help

Re: The video game thread
I've had it open this morning. The thermal paste on the CPU and GPU was all dried up so I stuck some more on. I gave it a good dusting and still nothing. When I'm next in work I'll try to re-solder the processors.
Something else I'm worried about is that I can't read the PS3's hard drive from my computer. This could be a formatting issue or that it's knackered. I hope it's not because all of my saved games from the last 5 years is on it.
