The video game thread

I played Modern Warfare 2 online for about 5 hours last night. I completely suck. Maybe it's because everyone else has a four month head start because I don't remember being this bad at CoD 4.

I'm also once again drawn to Total Annihilation. I gave Spring a go last year but didn't quite get to grips with it.

you can't begin to know my disappointment there.
when i fiirst saw the comic, i thought it'd be awesome to give that a try, i figured it'd be possible to flatten out the bottom and play a game of tetris on top of it, but that is a big spongy mess

i may have been a bit naughty and found a rapishare of sleep is death. I will buy it when it's released, but after seeing the tutorial videos, i needed to play it there and then



I did the same thing with plants vs zombies (aka the greatest game ever made) the demo was released a day before the full game and after playing it for the hour, I couldn't wait the 24 hours to play the full thing.



back on the topic of sleep is death though, it is a lot less like a game, and is a lot more like a dungeons & dragons game, but without the dice rolls. the player can pretty much do whatever he wants and it is entirely up to the games master to allow that to play out and tell the story.

It's out tomorrow, and is a definite buy

Who do you play Sleep is Death with? I think that is a game that I would really have to play a demo of before I commit.

well it supports network and internet, so pretty much everyone but the only option is to direct-connect, they don't have a lobby or owt. Theres already a fansite called sidtube that allows you to find people to play with, as well as read through others' completed stories, but i have little interest in playing this with strangers

Yeah it is, my 200 lines one isn't that good... I might go try and improve it now...

i beat a japense girl at tetris once, my aim is to beat a russian at tetris though, because chernenko was in charge everybody gained super soviet tetris powers when it was invented. tetris belongs to the people!

I think my great great grand parents were russian, sadly tetris wasn't around in them days!
