Re: Introduce Yourself
Hi My Name is Bill and I'm from High Wycombe. I play trumpet in a band called beat the red light. I like beef, cider and music. I've been diggin a lot more roots and culture as of late but I think it time to see some more UK talent. Make it brutal!

BTRL are one of my favourite bands at the moment, despite a lack of gigs in the South West (hint hint)

Sorry dudes am awful at the internet sometimes... must be getting old
Furious D, which band were you in saturday? I was hammering down the strongbow all day so was a bit all over the place but had a good day!
Parg, the reason we don't play the south west often is due to the massive distances we have to travel and partly because of the lack of people that want to book us. We love the southwest... thats cider country!
I think the closest we will be coming is Cheltenham in September. Can you recommend any quality promoters round your yard?

Would you play down here for cider?
Not really. The only promoter round here I know is Deadpunk Promotions but that's in Bristol. Dunno if they would be called a quality promoter or not either.

I'd love to but not sure how the rest would feel!
It seems Bristol is a hard city to play in unless you are a big name or a local name. Trust we are working on it though!

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hello everyone, it's taken me ages to get round to posting in this bit of the forum!
I'm Angie, I'm 27. I'm a bit of a The Display Team groupie but my tastes are really quite eclectic and not all of it is ska-punk. I heard about this forum through last.fm which doesn't take into account that I listen to most music on CD. I think I might be the most Southern Southerner living as I do in Bournemouth. There are hardly and good gigs here I miss London

dont worry about not all of your music being ska-punk, i have a massive mix of random crap and only a fraction of its ska.

Wrong, I live in Exeter, However you probably didn't know that Hmm I might try and get people from plymouth and maybe cornwal on here, fairly difficult though, as i don't know anyone from cornwal, and the people I do know in plymouth are not huge ska fans.

Me too! I was born in Whiston and lived in St. Helens for 13 years. Then I moved to the lake district for about 6 years, and now I go everywhere.

Haydock is in St Helens,I've lived in the area all my life.
