But yeah I know exactly what you mean, I know two guys at work that like ska (one is more the two-tone type. The other more punk than ska, but still likes it).

I was playing some Russian ska at work and months later my manager said i listen to weird stuff like that "Russian Folk music". I replied with this.

Me: It was Ska.
Manager shrugs
Manager: Whats "Ska"?

He's only in his early 30's he should know ska! People these days!

Hiya! Good recommendations, i've definitely got a lot of love for the hijacks.

They seem to get better every time I see them, unfortunately they don't seem to be playing Glasgow again for quite some time. Plenty of other bands to keep us busy though!

They are supporting Streetlight in Glasgow so hopefully that will make them think again! The were emense at SB6.

Aye, they're really nice chaps. They were the ones who inspired me to ditch the classical trumpet training and get into to ska world originally. I owe it all to them!

I'm Wai, I live in Bristol, don't play in any bands at the moment, although I've recently done some budget home recordings of some songs with the intent of putting a band together (www.myspace.com/timorousme) Probably completely the wrong place to ask, but does anyone know any horn players in Bristol? People may know me through my merch monkeying/roadieing with Random Hand. I once slept on Peeky's floor. I think that is all.
