Where should I move to?

Id go to Manchester, theres a decent punk & ska scene there.

Leeds has a good scene thanks to non stop bummers incorporated, but absolute zero local ska bands. Manchester has unlimited ska/punk bands, and most of them have francis in.

Sheffield wins because it's in the middle of both of them.

Totally agree, but you've gotta admit that the ska/punk scene there was rubbish!

Another vote for South wales here, 1 more ska head couldn't hurt our nice little scene

Random Hand, Pickled Dick and Sonic Boom 6 all played seperate gigs here, in 2 days. Not particularly great attendance but at least us promoters are trying

it needed some work, but hell there was so much live stuff going on that it didn't need the best ska/punk scene!

middle of leeds and manchester is huddersfield i believe. doesn't sound skanktastic it must be said!

anywhere i go i'll be happy to play tbone for any band. or bass r sax if i can get a few pointers on how to play it not completely shite

i hear wales has good mountainboarding, but i wouldn't be able to take anyone seriously, the accent is too amusing

Don't come to the South West. Nothing happens here. And it isn't exactly the best place for live music. Unless you like the Wurzels.

The problem you have though... is that if you do move to Manchester, you gotta hope Francis doesn't move away... cos he'll probably take it all with him. One man scene machine.

I wouldn't rule out Huddersfield entirely.

It's an hour from manc, it's an hour from leeds. I wasn't speaking in strict geographic sense you pedant.

Huddersfield does have a lot of really good gigs though!

Move to Leeds, it is clearly the place to be...

Manchester is good for gigs, BUT every time I've been there its rained... and the one time it didn't I got sunburnt

I'm about to go into my final year of uni, so I can't decided whether I should stay in Leeds after I've finished... or venture somewhere else... experience a different place and all that... hmm

after leaving leeds to get a job I would advise staying in leeds, Its on the m62 the road to EVERYWHERE IMPORTANT, I go drinking in leeds Much Much more often than i go drinking in hull (£30 taxi to my house makes me emo)

to be fair, a taxi to your house from leeds would be well over £30

Leeds is good for the fact I can walk everywhere... I don't think I've had to get a taxi/bus in months!

nah, i always walk into town, bus in if i'm running latw for work but thats not ver often at all.
A plus point to sheffield is that if you walked everywhere you'd have legs of steel in no time!

Anyway, you'll have to stay in leeds if you're going to marry Peeky, i don't think he'd be willing to move.
