Beat The Red Light
Like metal? Like ska? Chances are Beat The Red Light are the band for you. Combining thrash metal licks with choppy ska and big brass lines, they'll have you skanking, moshing and singing along within a 4 minute song.

Re: Beat The Red Light
Yeah, they've got the meaty guitars, massive brass AND big choruses. They check all of Summers's boxes.

Re: Beat The Red Light
Remind me so much of The Flamin' Tsunamis. Not too keen on the American accent but I'll probabaly check 'em out live at that ominous, venue-less Leeds date in September for a slice of live BTRL.

I am totally a BTRL fanboy. Also, Pook is the greatest name I've ever heard.

When he's messaged me on Myspace he ends it with "Pook!" I thought is was some sort of adverb but it's actually his name.

Yeah that's the October gig with you. I thought my name was funny at the time but I wouldn't mind changing it now.

Re: Beat The Red Light
as the only representative seemingly of BTRL on this board I would like to say thank you for all the posi feedback and cheers to Summers for making us band of the week. You are awesome!
And to Manchester dudes sorry we dropped out of the shows. We are currently in the process of centralising the whole band to wycombe(the guitarists live in ipswich currently) and sourcing a van which will mean we won't be taking 3 vehicles which costs loadsa papes.
Now all I have to do is get a job so I can chip in my bit to the van!

Well I haven't had any confirmation of that yet. It was just a fleeting email and never heard anything back.
