Re: EU elections
looked at green party, their health policy was a bit of a joke, I know all the eu mps do is try and grab as much benefits for the uk as possible using eu money (imagine the uk is a normal mp's second home for them) but don’t really want to vote for a party that doesn’t have a coherent policy on such an important area, went the Irish thieves in the end.

Re: EU elections
i'm not voting for anyone but i am going to vote, just spoiling the ballot paper by crossng through the whole thing. apparently they take them as votes of no confidence in any party so it sounds good to me. if people don't vote they think they just don't care who runs the country, so voding yoru bit of paper sends across a stronger message

Re: EU elections
tbh if your not voting for their rivals who ever does get in wont care that you put a line through their name. imho go to the bbc page, clicky, briefly read what the partys plan to do in europe, vote for the one that sounds least retarded just to make Shur the bnp get fuck all.

I don't think I'd vote for the Green party. I'd want the other policies to have more focus. Protecting the environment is nice and all but I don't want to put it in front of healthcare and shit like that.

Re: EU elections
Dunno about not caring about the environment. The population per sq. km over here is rising quite a lot and rising sea levels is only gonna make that worse.
But yeah now I think about it a bit more the whole liberalism / constitution thing I like. Although don't we already have separation of church and state (or would it make any practical difference if it was written into law)?

Re: EU elections
we don't have a separation. there are unelected representatives of the church in our government.
In the 21st Century it does seem pretty stupid, we should only have elected officials as far as I see it

Oh right. That kinda sucks doesn't it.
Is anyone saying they're going to get rid of the House of Lords (they don't get elected do they?) as well?
