Kid British fans?

Anyone a fan of Kid British? They just released the first half of their album (like 2 halves of a football game). Sort of the lad-rock of The Enemy and The Jam mixed with 2-tone Madness with a spot of Britsh-style rapping. Use 3 lead singers.

I saw them support The Enemy and The Specials and had a chat with 2 of them. The music is blatantly not for people who have bitter memories of The Ordinary Boys but I quite like them. They're not the best band in the world, but they are mashing up a few genres and making some nice tunes:

they played at evolution this year and gave out free badges, havnt listened to their studio stuff yet but they were well fun live

I didn't like what I heard on Soccer AM last season.

I'm not a huge fan, but we're supporting them in a couple of weeks so i'll see what they're like live...

The guitarist Dom (with dreds) played my 18th birthday! His old band were much much better. He wants Kid British to tour with Sonic Boom Six. I do not, I want Sonic Boom Six to keep on touring with the great bands they currently do.

Listening to their tunes, I'm not really hearing any of the influences they claim to have to anything other than a minimal degree.

Not the sort of thing I would choose to listen to, but when I saw them in Manchester on Picadilly Gardens, I couldn't help but go closer to the stage and jump about for a bit... just really cheerful music and fun

Pretty sure Francis and Ben Boom played brass on their album, or one a song on it or something.

we're also recording some more horns for them on monday, they're doing a collaboration with the specials.

Yeah they're deffo pushing for the mainstream thing, rather than the play what style of music you love thing.

They sound to me like someone like simon cowel has put them together to over shadow the king blues in the mainstream.... maybe?

They're NME babies. They did the NME tour with The Horrors (I think it was The Horrors).
