Don't let the name put you off, these South African Ska Punksters are AWESOME, and a hell of a lot of fun to go with it.
Biography: Hog Hoggidy Hog is a band that definitely needs no introduction - their name has been etched into moshpit wounds across the world. The godfathers of South African ska punk have achieved legendary status and have developed a reputation as one of the most formidable live acts in the country. The Hogs are loud, hard and sometimes a bit obnoxious and need never apologize for it. Their musical dexterity, upbeat energy, contagious rhythms and offbeat humour have endeared them to their ever-growing worldwide fan base. The fusion of modern ska punk and traditional African sounds gives them a very unique flavour. They are proudly independent and have managed to maintain their own identity, sticking it to the man and bucking mainstream trends at every given opportunity. It has been 5 years since the band released their last, extremely well received, album, Oink! Now after what has apparently seemed like a grueling eternity for the hordes of eager porkrock fans, the Hogs have teamed up once again with producer, Theo Crous to release their much-anticipated 6th Studio album, Method to the Madness. This latest offering is a blistering testament to the fact that 14 years down the road the Hogs are not showing any signs of slowing down. And as the world awaits the release and prepares itself for the inevitable onslaught of porkrock, one thing is for certain… Hog Hoggidy Hog are louder, ruder and more boisterous than ever before.
