I've just ordered mine for £21.99 because my laptop had a 'free' upgrade to Windows 7. It turns out it wasn't free but I can't argue with that price. I know a few of you are pretty tech savvy so I'd like to hear your opinions. A friend of mine was using the beta a while back and it seemed good, like what Vista should have been.

Re: Has anyone got Windows 7?
it's good, better than vista, but i'm probably going to go back to xp for a bit.
if you want your os to make as little a footprint on your memory and cpu as possible, just stay away, if you want lots of spangly buttons go with windows 7

Re: Has anyone got Windows 7?
I just got it yesterday and it seems to be working fine.
The only difference I've seen from Vista is that it's shinier and the new Window Media Player is shit because it keeps coming back when it closes and it won't minimise to the toolbar (the only reason I've been using it until now)

Re: Has anyone got Windows 7?
ah gotcha, i thought you were complaining about some applications using up too much of the taskbar or like msn messenger does, take up space even when closed.

Re: Has anyone got Windows 7?
nah but it would be nice to be able to expand the taskbar over multiple screens. Apparently people have been asking MS for it for years but they've never done anything about it
