I'm a vodka man myself, my drink of choice would have to be SNOW QUEEN- cool name, cool bottle, smooth clean vodka

In contrast to the beer thread, thought I'd create one for all your ska loving spirit drinkers out there, to dicuss spirits and suchlike

Re: Spirit Drinkers!
i've pretty much given up beer lately due to the rotten hangovers they give me, my usual tipple is a rum and blackcurrent.

Re: Spirit Drinkers!
mm, rum and blackcurrant, sounds like a good mix, will have to give that one a try!
Jagermeister is really really nasty, its just like cough medicine, although not too bad as a jagerbomb

Re: Spirit Drinkers!
jagermeisters best kept secret is that it tastes like shit. it only tastes good cold as fuck.
a spirit can only be good if it's warm and good.
while i'm on this subject, how shit are extra cold beers? cold kills taste, why would someone choose specifically to drink beer without it tasting of beer? i'll just lump those people with the ones who like well done steak.

AGREED. I will never understand why the hell they try to sell Extra Cold Guinness. It DOESN'T WORK.
Anyways, back to the spirits...I discovered an awesome drink in Italy, that pretty much EVERYONE drinks, especially in Venice. It's made with a spirit called Aperol (link) and it's simply referred to as an Aperol Spritz.
It's basically a bitter orange liquer, that's only 11%, but mixed with Prosecco wine and soda. It's bloody lovely.
Just need to get my hands on a bottle of it in England.

Re: Spirit Drinkers!
tbh spirts will only ever be a replace ment for lager, If its sunny and I want a nice cold alcmaholic beveridge i would rank a rum and ginger up their with a cold lager on refreshing awesomeness scale. If i was however In the pub and I was geting a round in and a guy asked me for a spirit nd mixer he would get a very dirty look and then a pint of bitter

Re: Spirit Drinkers!
Beer = hangover
Spirit = a night out that lasts till the first bus - hangover
In most places a spirit and mixer costs the same as a pint of lager...proper beer maybe not though.

I have no idea what you just said. If it's not burnt; it's not cooked.

unlike bob, i might add. he only cooks on full heat, sausages are always burned on the outside and raw in the middle

Re: Spirit Drinkers!
bob never cooks. Real men know that the only side efect of cooking on full heat is everything gets cooked faster and the room gets full of manly smoke
(oh look i typed a post about cooking and didnt dyslexic the word cock into it once)
