/b/ floods YouTube with porn

4chan's latest attack on the internets has been to upload tons of Porn Videos onto YouTube, whilst diguising them as child-friendly.

I utterly hate 4chan. But in a love/hate kind of way - the place can be extremely funny and I'll happily waste time on there. I don't agree with deliberately trying to expose children to porn though. That's pretty messed up. I think saying they were doing it in protest to youtube removing music is a load of BS, I think they're just doing it for the lulz. Pissing off youtube, I guess isn't a terrible thing, and that's probably a lot of the motivation (part of the idea of this attack is to 'flag' loads of non-porn containing videos so the staff have more material to filter through in the process of removing the porn). But deliberately trying to trick children into watch porn isn't right.

The BBC report makes the beeb look rather silly. I mean, what is the point of showing that youtube clip?

it's not youtube they should be pissed off at for removing music anyway.

The way youtube has handled the music thing is incredibly annoying though. It really annoys me when a video shows up in search results, but then you try and play it and get told that it's not available in England - why the hell was it in the results then?! Also the videos where they've muted the sound because it uses copyrighted music, that's really annoying.

it was the ultimatum they were given, PRS thought they had the leverage to demand more money for royalties than google make from them, turns out they were wrong.

either way, it looks as though PRS have gone back on their word and are now offering more reasonable rates to youtube.
