Estevez are a 4 piece ska punk band hailing from Chepstow in South Wales,they play an awesome fast brand of skacore which could be likened to King Prawn or Capdown. OK I'll level with you-theres no bio on their myspace for me to steal but they are fucking amazing so go check em out.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think they split up recently

They said they are not doing any gigs at the moment, not sure about split up though. That was when I asked around april some time.

One of them put us on in May, apparently it's the end of the road for Estevez and they're starting something new. If I remember rightly

thats well rubbish- I did think that they'd split or something quite a while ago-but they have a couple of gigs posted on their myspace so I figured I was bullshitting myself. anyway split or not they are still/were a wicked band.

well at least we can look forward to this new stuff!

Sounds fresh to me. Like the guitar work. The brass sounds tightly focused. The man from Del Monte says how the fuck are ya.

ye there local boys to us and there all the nicest people ever and joes a ledgend ,hes put us on a few times and allways gave a place to stay and shit(even if his house didnt have elecctric haha).

they dont have the recognition they deserve at all,i think they we're alot bigger before I really got to know the ins and outs of ska in the uk but still.

It's true that it's kind of all fallen apart for Estevez, Jonny and I are looking to start something new up though at some point.

I've still got 600 Estevez CDs in my house if anyone fancies buying one! haha.

i have the estevez four track EP in fact i had it playing in my car earlier, any band that start a song with the line double vodka and red bull kick ass

I believe that Estevez have gone quite downhill I have seen them many times over 6 years and were really looking forward to their set in Kippertronix.. but was ever so slightly disappointed!

I hope that I see them again so that I can be proved wrong...

You're in many ways correct.

Kippertronix was a fucker for us, we got a lift there from a half blind man with no tax on his van and arrived 15 mins before going onstage. To make matters worse for us, on the four hour journey to the gig we'd smoked some of Carlos's unexpectedly strong dope which completely spun us out, two of our friends were being sick while we played and my girlfriend actually fainted from it.

I apologise that you had to see us there, it was one of the bad ones.

We couldn't even stay for a beer and to watch the other bands because apparently the driver fella couldn't see in the dark!!
