New Big D tracks Empty New Big D tracks

Post by Jess Mon May 18, 2009 6:26 pm

Have a gander at the Big D myspace, they're got 2 new songs up - 'Doped Up Dollies On A One Way Ticket To Blood' and 'Fluent In Stroll'.
What's your thoughts? I'm quite liking Fluent in Stroll actually.

I think this deserves to be news so instead of having 2 topics about the exact same thing I just shifted it into the news section.

Really really not sure about 'doped up dollies' wuite liking 'fluent in stroll' it seems like a bit of an odd direction for Big D though.

I haven't really heard any Big D stuff except Learning to Listen, Shining On and Strictly Rude. Don't really like the new songs either (hey look a bandwagon let's jump on! Very Happy )

I can't say i've ever been a big fan, so the new songs don't really make me feel any more or less bothered by them.

They put another one up about an hour ago, called 'Describing the Sky'.

I didn't mind the other two, but I don't think I like this one...

    I object!

I'm on study leave/an extreme internet holiday. I wouldn't want to use my time constructively and actually revise would I?!

(Although it would potentially help many patients.. but oh wells)

I know this isn't helping to squish my big D stalker label, but anyway, There's a new song on the myspace! it's called Chin Up, Boy.

I like the tenor sax bit, but not too sure on the female vox.

Yeah I've listened to chin up and doped up.. and it looks like Big D are heading in a whole new direction. I liked Strictly Rude a lot, these new tracks seem good but nothing as good as the old stuff. They seem to be slowing down a bit and not being as thrashy. Admittedly, Strictly was more reggae than the previous stuff, Which was cool, but these seem a bit weird. The female vocals are weird too :/

i'm really liking the new stuff. its sounding like a natural progression for the band. that said, i'm more into big d's newer stuff which may well leave me of a different opinion to old-school fans
